Commercialisation Office Projects and Opportunities
1. Security camera
We are developing a very low powered, wireless security camera for remote surveillance where there is no available power. Target spin-out 2012.
2. Inflammatory Bowel Disease Therapeutics
IBD's are often controlled by a combination of medications, with surgery for the most severe cases. We are developing therapeutics and validated inflammation targets.
3. Bio-assays
We are developing a novel screening service with a selected range of applications including a novel insect model that can be used for microbial virulence screening, pre-clinical toxicity testing as well as early stage antimicrobial efficacy assessment. Target licence 2012.
4. 802.11 diagnostics
We have developed technology which offers optimisation of 802.11 devices on laptops and networks. We have demonstrated significant improvement in communications in wireless environments. Target license 2013.
5. Diabetes compounds
We are developing a suite of compounds for with potential for control of diabetes II. Currently undergoing lead optimisation and mechanism of action validation. Target license 2012.
6. RespirEfector
We are developing a device for medical diagnostics and drug delivery to the lungs. Target spin-out 2014.
7. RF Amplifier
We are developing a technology for low power RF amplifiers which has a primary application in mobile phone base stations, replacing existing technologies with a much lower power version. Needs market validation. Target spin-out 2013.
8. Clinical Biosensors
We are developing clinical sensors for applications in ICU and patient monitoring. Sourcing partners and clinical validation. Target spin-out 2013.
9. Biosensors
We are developing an exciting biosensor technology with high sensitivity and selectivity to pre-selected analytes. We have already identified a number of potential applications across several industries. Target spin-out 2013.
10. Wave energy control
We are developing technology to allow wave energy devices to work in tandem and to optimise the power flow from a suite of offshore devices. Early stage and good partners are needed.
11. Expert System
A Human Resources expert system for determining the return on investment of training programmes for staff.
12. Tolling
An automated tolling solution for tolled roads.
13. Running Technology
A system for allowing runners and their friends to interact during a race, providing rich functionality to the competitor and the followers.
14. Internet of Things (IoT)
A platform for the real-time viewing and connection of high-speed remote connected sensors over a web platform.
15. Stroke Device
A novel medical device which has the potential to improve post stroke rehabilitation.
