Spinouts

NUI Maynooth continues to be a national leader in the commercialisation of research.  Our key performance metrics for 2011 show we completed 7 new licence deals and spun-out 3 new companies.  Against international standards of licences and spinouts per research expenditure, NUI Maynooth ranks in the top percentiles.  This performance is down to the outstanding research and desire of NUI Maynooth researchers to see their work make not just a scientific impact but an economic one.  The Office continues to be supported by Enterprise Ireland under their Technology Transfer Strengthening Initiative.

NUI Maynooth spun-out 3 companies in 2011 reaching a total of 10 spinout companies in the last four years all based on research work carried out at the University.
